ASUS Brings AMD Ryzen 4000 Series Loaded TUF Gaming Notebooks And New ROG PCs To India

We haven’t seen laptop launches run rampant lately but ASUS has just updated its gaming offerings for 2020 with the new TUF and ROG desktop models and there’s a lot to get excited about here.

The new TUF series feature the new AMD Ryzen 4000 series chips whereas the desktop PCs get updated with improved design for better performance. ASUS has also updated other key components crucial for improved performance. The new range starts from INR 60,990 and all of the new models will be available online as well as via offline retail outlets.

The new TUF series laptops get a completely overhauled design with updated durability ratings. ASUS has gone for a newer design with sleek panels and hexagonal air vents at the bottom. The TUF A15, as the name suggests, offers a 15-inch Full HD IPS LCD display whereas the A17 get the bigger 17-inch display. Both the models will come with 60Hz standard refresh rate screens but users can upgrade to higher refresh rate screens. The A15 gets an option of 144Hz whereas the A17 maxes out at a 120Hz panel.

When it comes to raw processing firepower, the new TUF laptops have three processor options. You can choose from a Ryzen 5 4600H processor, a Ryzen 7 4800H processor and a Ryzen 9 4900H processor. Buyers can configure up to 32GB of DDR4 3200MHz RAM, with two additional slots. For storage, these models can be configured with up to 1TB 5400 rpm SATA HDD and SSD options with capacities ranging between 256GB, 512GB and 1TB. Users are given up to two SSD slots.

For the graphics, both the models can be configured with options of Nvidia GTX 1650 with 4GB GDDR6 RAM, GTX 1650Ti with 4GB GDDR6 VRAM and GTX 1660Ti with 6GB GDDR6 VRAM. The A15 also gets an additional option of a Nvidia RTX 2060 card with 6GB GDDR6 RAM.

Both the TUF laptops also get integrated WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. The option to upgrade to a WiFi 6 card down the line would have been incredible but these are geared towards the budget to mid-range gamers, so we understand the ommission.

For connectivity, ASUS offers the option of a COMBO audio jack, 2 x Type-A USB 3.2 (Gen 1) prots, a Type-C USB 3.2 (Gen 2) with display port 1.4 support, a Type-A USB2.0 port, RJ45 LAN jack for LAN insert and an HDMI port. Both the laptops also get 48Whr battery.

The TUF A15 FA 506 starts at INR 60,990 and will be available on Amazon only. The A15 FA566 and will be available across all channels. The TUF A17 FA706 will be available from mid-June on Flipkart, starting at INR 60,990.
