All the world’s cricketers walked into a bar. The LOLs, the chatter, and the occasional mini-brawls, they were endless. And the news cycle was never the same again! Welcome to ESPNcricinfo’s Social Buzz, your go-to destination for all the bantz, the jousts, and little bit of eavesdropping from the social media playground and beyond.
So the ICC sent out a tweet about players with the best pull shots and there was someone they kinda missed. That someone saw the tweet and totally gave in to his FOMO.
Someone’s missing here ?? Not easy to work from home I guess https://t.co/sbonEva7AM

Being housebound, as many around the world are right now, can be challenging. It can be fun too, if you’re Darren Sammy – is that why people are fighting over toilet rolls, though?
And then, not to forget, there might be kids around. The Stokeses, Ben (probably not so much) and Clare (in the main), have worked it out well, by the looks of it.
This is why toilet paper is being hoarded
What’s Ian Bell trying to convey here? That loo rolls make good indoor cricket balls? That he panic-bought so many that he doesn’t know what to do with them? Anyone else reminded of music videos where they burn cash to show you how much they have?
“Don’t bowl there son.” – Ian Bell to his actual son.

Cricket practice does not stop because you’re stuck at home
Staying at home doesn’t mean Netflix and chill all day. Work on those reflexes, okay?

Lisa Sthalekar gets neighbourly
The elderly are most vulnerable to contracting Covid-19, so if you can help them during their period of isolation.
County cricket may normally have one or two spectators, but that man (and dog) are an important part of the player experience.
If we have to play behind closed doors I’m gona miss the old boy on the top tier telling me how crap I am and 10 minutes later asking me to sign a picture of Graeme Swann

Who would be able to shout “bend your back Broad” from the Tetley Bitter tent at Headingley ? @jimmy9
— Stuart Broad (@StuartBroad8) March 19, 2020
No, not going to make a “your batting is like watching paint dry” joke. We don’t do that here.

It’s time for cat cricket
How is everyone spending their cricket-less days? Our UK editor Andrew Miller has already latched onto a new format of the game, and it’s obviously better than The Hundred.

But they have all got a way to go to match the standards set by cat cricket’s pioneer… @CMRLee
I’ve invented a game of “cat cricket”.
My cat has to defend the box from my ping pong ball.
If the ball hits the cardboard, that’s a point to me.
If she bats it away that’s a point to her.
First to ten wins.

Um, that’s not how social-distancing works, guys.
In the comments, KL Rahul had the best advice for his team-mates, Shreyas Iyer and Hardik Pandya: “Wash your hands boys”.
Dhoni makes the most of IPL downtime
With the IPL postponed due to the Covid-19 outbreak and CSK calling off their pre-IPL preparatory camp, MS Dhoni has made his way back to Ranchi, where he seems as happy as a kid who’s been told school’s out early for summer. He’s reportedly been spotted riding around on his bike and taking selfies with fans (not recommended at this time of social distancing), and using the downtime to sharpen his skills in a different sport.

Cricket in the time of social-distancing

As a Covid-19 precautionary measure, Mitchell McClenaghan returned home from the PSL to a two-week self-isolation period… and things weren’t looking too bad?

Now that he’s had a glimpse of what Indian weddings can entail, how’s Glenn Maxwell feeling about the big day(s)? Stay hydrated, Maxi!
Hindi is hard for Chris Gayle
In this video shoot, Chris Gayle’s struggle with Hindi has Yuvraj Singh in splits. [Ed: But can we address the lines themselves? “The confidence is mine. The grave will be yours.” What?]
Foreign languages are hard, we get it. Maybe he should try to lip-sync, like Grant Elliott been doing so impressively at the PSL with Punjabi, Balochi, Sindhi and Pashto.
